John Battle's Supermarket Surgery

John Battle, Labour MP for Leeds West, holds regular advice surgeries around the constituency. But this summer he's trying something new with an advice surgery in a supermarket - Kirkstall Morrisons.

"It'll be quite informal, a chance for Saturday shoppers to sit down and meet me if they want help or advice or just the chance to have a word," said Mr Battle. "During the summer recess I don't have to be down in London four days a week in Parliament, so there is more time to get out and about and meet people in the constituency. I want to use this chance to reach people who don't normally come to me, and a busy supermarket should be a good place to do that."

"Morrisons have been very helpful," he added.

The surgery will be on Saturday 10 August, from 10:30 to 11:30.
