“St Vincent Support Centre do an excellent job working to help people defeat poverty and supporting those who are vulnerably housed or homeless,” said John Battle MP. “I’m glad to have the chance to volunteer here and I’d encourage anyone else interested to do the same.

I’m particularly glad to be able to help with debt counselling, which I know is in great demand from my campaign against loan sharks – counselling at St Vincent gives good practical help and advice from experienced people, as well as emotional support at what’s usually a highly stressful time.”

“We’re delighted John Battle could come and help out and see us in action,” said Centre Manager Charlotte Walton. “I know these issues are close to his heart.”
