Battle, Labour MP for Leeds West, handed over a petition to keep Farnley
Post Office open.
Matt Silcock, External Relations Manager for the Post Office, was there at Farnley Post Office, Cross Lane, LS12 to receive the petition from Farnley residents.
John Battle said, “This is a well-used Post Office and closing it would leave people facing a long, hilly journey and having to cross the ring road. I have formally objected to this proposal and have already met with senior Post Office staff to make the case to them personally. I am glad to present the Post Office with this petition from so many Farnley people saying keep Farnley Post Office open.”
