John Battle Gives Reward For Service

Battle Member of Parliament for Leeds West presented his constituent
Mrs Towns with her Veterans Badge for service in the Auxiliary Territorial
Service from November 1940 until January 1947.
John Battle MP said
“It gave me great pleasure to meet Mrs Towns and present her
with her Veterans Badge for her valuable service during the war. It
is important that service such as hers is recognised and that we do
not forget the important part she and her contemporary’s played
during the war years.”
