National Bookstart Day

John Battle with a group of parents and toddlers Leeds West MP, John Battle celebrated this year’s National Bookstart Day at Armley Library, joined by local mums and children. The theme of the event was favourite rhymes and Mr Battle was very pleased to share his own particular favourite, “Hey diddle diddle”, while learning some new ones.

Mr Battle said “Bookstart is a fantastic way for children, parents and carers to share and enjoy books together – opening up a new exciting world through their pages.”
