John Battle Re-elected as Labour Party Member of Parliament for Leeds West

John Battle was re-elected as Labour Party Member of Parliament for Leeds West, with an increased turnout.

He said, “Elections are, and should be, a time of uncertainty and risk – putting yourself at the mercy of the people, inviting their support and criticism. I most sincerely thank each person who voted to return me as their MP, but I also want to thank all those who voted and took part in the election process here in Leeds West.

“Now the divisions of the election are over, it really is a privilege to do my best to continue to serve all my constituents in Leeds West, and speak up for them all in Parliament.”

John Battle’s constituency office was back up and running the day after the election, and he held his first advice surgeries of the new Parliament the following day, Saturday 7 May.
